Spring 2024 schedule

LMT will run from 8:30 in the morning to about 5 in the afternoon, and registration and the introductory ceremony will be in the Science building. Free pizza will be provided for lunch. Additionally, coaches may bring their teams to eat at Lexington Center, which is about 5 minutes' walking distance away. (Students may not go themselves.)

9:25 AM - 10:15 AM Speed Round

10:25 AM - 11:15 AM Accuracy Round

11:25 AM - 12:25pm Team Round

12:45 PM - 1:15 PM Lunch

1:15 PM - 2:15 PM Mini-Events

2:30 PM - 3:45 PM Guts

4:00 PM - 4:45 PM Closing Ceremony

From 9:15 AM to 10:45 AM, Zuming Feng (director of IDEA MATH (2008 - present); Stephen G. Kurtz Teaching Chair, Phillips Exeter Academy (1995 - 2021); The Suzanne and Patrick McGee Master Teaching Chair, St. Mark’s school of Texas (2021 - present); leader of USA IMO team (2003 - 2013)) will deliver a short talk on the difference between "doing math contests" and "learning math well", and host a Q and A on the IDEA MATH summer and year round programs.
